Welcome to Getting the Most from Mixbus!
Thanks to the good people at Harrison Consoles and Luis Maldonado, we all have the incredible opportunity to mix killer tracks for a great song by Laura Espinoza, Mindy Milburn and Make Believe Friends as we get to know Mixbus a little better.
Some tips for the course:
- If you want to dive deeper into the Mixbus functionality covered in a video, check the Learn More.. section for relevant detailed info from the Mixbus manual.
- Use the content in whatever way works best for you - do your mix along with it, watch a piece then go off and try things on your own, or watch it in full and then do your mix.
- If you don't have the plugins used, try using similar included Harrison plugins or Ava plugins to accomplish the same thing.

Mixbus Plugins
- Mixbus comes with a number of plug-ins pre-installed.
- The ACE plug-ins do not require any further licensing.
- The “XT” plug-ins do require a separate license for each to enable their control panels however the XT plug-ins are still usable even without a license although the GUI will blank out every 30 seconds or so. Just close the GUI and open it back up each time to continue with your settings.
- Unlike most unlicensed third-party plug-ins, the sound of the XT plug-ins is still effective when they aren’t licensed. So if you share a Mixbus session with someone who doesn’t own a license for these plug-ins, the sound as per your settings will remain correct.
